Despite the last half of the movie not being nearly as strong as the first, it has a really great, but emotionally draining story about this family falling apart. The whole cast does great job, most especially Kelvin Harrison, Jr. and Sterling K. Brown, who were fantastic. The fast half revolving around Harrison, Jr. is intense, anxiety-ridden, and heartbreaking. The last half revolves around Taylor Russell, it has a purpose but it didn’t go nearly as deep or dramatic as I was hoping. On top of that, she and Lucas Hedges didn’t have very good chemistry. It’s an overall good and tragic story that’s beautifully filmed and directed, but just suffers from an inferior last half.
