Anybody else think that this whole IMAX craze is a massive con? I don't mean the actual proper IMAX theatres that have gigantic screens, show actual films on reels and have immersive sounds. I mean the screens in multiplexes that have been retrofitted with IMAX at the cost of the biggest screen. You don't really get the shock and awe of an IMAX screening (they haven't made the roof higher in these buildings) and you now can't watch a film on what used to be the biggest screen without paying a premium. Don't even get me started on the BS that is 4DX. I'd give ScreenX and Superscreen a go but there's no room for either at our 14 screen cinema.
Watching it on a regular sized screen was fine, didn't have an issue with the dialogue at all either. Cillian Murphy was fantastic, was great to see him finally getting the lead in a Nolan movie.
