Smile 2 was a film I was really looking forward to. Really enjoyed the first one, and I can say the same about this one! This film is bigger and more polished than it's predecessor, and it takes all the good things that it had and elevates it. It's definitely got a bigger budget, it's much more violent and bloody, it looks and sounds really good, and there are a couple of effective scares in here. There were a couple of moments they were going for some very subtle humour, but I felt like there were a bunch of unintentionally funny moments as well. It could've just been me tho. The performances are nice. I thought Naomi Scott was really nice as the lead. Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid horror film. It's over two hours long, but I honestly had a blast. It never felt boring or dull. It's filled with some really good energy and some really good horror scenes. I really wanted to check this out in a cinema, and it's still playing nearby, but I just didn't bother 😭👍🏻
