Aside from Shaun of the Dead this is possibly the best horror comedy of the 21st century. I found myself consistently laughing. The jokes are way smarter then I could have expected. Megan Fox crushes it as Jennifer and from now on if someone says she’s a bad actress I will swiftly direct them to this movie. The rest of the cast is so good as well. Amanda Seyfried is great in everything she does. Adam Brody is a standout, and so is Seyfried’s boyfriend in the movie (I just always remember him from Scott Pilgram). The horror elements are a lot of fun, and this is in part due to the surprisingly great direction. The scenes are all very well shot, and you can tell there’s passion behind this. I know everyone talks about how mis-marketed this was, but I did not expect to love this as much as I did. Definitely a new addition to the movies I watch around Halloween.
