All the hype about this being the scariest film in years is completely overblown, but the sense of dread and evil vibes are immaculate.
It’s messy and trying to do one or two too many things, but so much of this really worked for me. I can understand the real horror hounds being let down, but to me this is a fantastic mood piece. Kind of can’t wait to see it again.
