It's hard to believe Ryan Gosling was that scrawny white kid in Remember the Titans and Emma Stone was that chick in The Rocker.
What can I say, this was a wonderful film! If I had known it was the same director, writer, and composer as Whiplash, I would have seen it ages ago. Damian Chazelle and Justin Hurwitz show off their geniuses again. As a lover of the classic musicals, this was a thrill to watch. Gene Kelly would be proud.
