The film has this quirky charm—Joe Dante’s direction makes it both unsettling and comforting, a very hard thing to accomplish.
It’s a bit darker than your typical holiday movie, but that’s what makes it stand out. If you’re in the mood for something festive with a bit of chaos, Gremlins is amazing for it. Just remember: no water, no food after midnight, and definitely no bright lights. And yes, that was a cringey reference. Also sorry and I know I should have logged this yesterday.
