This movie is structurally flawless and technically astounding, but it's also somehow emotionally gripping. The unrelenting journey at the heart of the narrative pulls you along with tremendous ferocity but also deftly drops just the right number of choice, highly succinct character beats to orient you and win you over to the protagonists before you even realize it. The moment when Max and Furiosa's agendas finally dovetail and they become allies is all done with the actors' eyes and wordless motions but it's convincing as hell and it's as thrilling as any of the many incredible stunts and explosions. This movie is a miracle, in short.
