Friedkin is compelling to watch and gives good quote, but this documentary is not nearly as interesting as the man or his work. It’s pretty shabbily made (the camerawork is especially poor) but more importantly doesn't ask particularly difficult questions about the nature of its subject’s contributions to cinema.
