One of my favourite Christmas movies. The family dynamic feels real and lived-in, even if some of the characters say pure evil things to one another that make me gasp (which in and of itself is quite... realistic?). The swapping partners plotline is a bit iffy, but I find Luke Wilson and SJP's characters so cute together. Mulroney and Danes are so dry, but I let it pass because there's too much to like about this film.
If there's something this movie gets SO right it's that no matter how messy things get, life is short and there's nothing better than being together with the ones you love!
