I know it’s meant to poke fun of the ultra wealthy but it doesn’t ever truly humanize or humble them here. When they do something good for someone they are really tickled with themselves. There is also the standard rudeness and looking down on middle class regular people and excess. There is a payoff of sorts of course and who really feels bad for them even if it comes form of envy and obsession. It may in fact be more of a critique of any wannabes that never let the lower classes in. I would say it leaves a bad taste but after what I just watched that’s an unfortunate choice of words.
The only ones I liked were Pamela ( too little Carey ) and Olivier’s parents.
