this movie fucking sucks. it couldve been great. but it’s about nothing. characters are non existent. some only come out of nowhere and exist to be killed—cogs in a shock machine. dialogue written by a first year film student.
Powerful, uncomfortable, compelling imagery and action wasted on absolutely nothing. an empty cynical void of exploitation of a frought and divided american psyche.
And don’t get me twisted—i don’t care that the film doesn’t make a commentary on today’s politics. it just doesn’t comment on anything. it has nothing to say. and uses american’s real fears and anxieties as a fucking marketing tool to do it.
