Sorry gnna have to disagree with a lot of you here but meh ….
First what i did like: the fact i’m born on the 15th not the 14th for starters. I loved the opening act and it really excited me for what the vibe of the film would be …. but it wasn’t that vibe at all. The flashbacks were all really cool and i loved their style, but i found pretty much all of the present day stuff pretty boring and basic apart from a few jumpscares that were actually done really well.
I think the main reason people either love or hate the film is the main character. At first, i really liked her weird energy and wanted to know more about her backstory which i felt was being unraveled, but by about half way in i just found her dull. It felt like she was a wannabe yurgos-type character and ended up just making me feel super aware it was a film.
Sorry. What the fuck was Nick Cage 😂😂 WHERE WERE HIS LONGLEGS. I thought the makeup was dreadfully done and his script super cringe but tbh he is the only character that acc made the movie exciting to watch and so i looked forward to his scenes but thought it could have been done waaay better (not Nick Cage’s fault he is of course a great actor).
The ending. BORING. i hate when films reveal the ending and then go back and explain it all for you like a little baby. A good ending happens and then your like what then you think about it then your like OHHHHHHH. didn’t get that. Predictable af too but tried to seem like it was being clever.
Other things like random satan antler people shadows being seen in windows annoyed me too. unnecessary.
