No new thoughts about this really, but whenever I see it I realise how lucky we are that it was made in the way it was – even when just considering its implications for CG animation, it’s a huge breath of fresh air, an indication that innovation in this medium doesn’t lie with the realist visual fidelity Pixar and Dreamworks types are constantly chasing.
