as someone who first saw this movie when it was first released, in a Monday matinee with 9 other people — all of whom were shell-shocked by the end of it except that one guy a few rows ahead of me who dazedly said “… what the fuck?” — it was such a treat to revisit this 5 years later in an evening screening packed with like-minded sickos cackling at The Lobster Line and The Beans Line and Willem Dafoe’s delivery in general and all the other iconic moments. warms the cockles of your heart when a genre-defying buck fucking wild film finally gets its audience!
