Perfect balance of feeling like a D&D game and also being a great movie on its own--the writers clearly put a lot of effort into that. Great humor. Loved the Chris Pine performance. It's SO deserving of a sequel.
My only complaint is that it's too long--it starts to drag around the 3/4 mark and in the battle scenes. There's a 5-star 90 minute movie in here somewhere.
Including this in my spooky season list because it has the undead, monsters, witches, shapeshifters, body horror, etc
