i absolutely loved the feminist subtext of the patriarchy being the root cause of gold-digging !! marilyn and jane’s chemistry was so satisfying to watch, as well as how their voices blended in such a nicely melodious way … the choreography was stunning (especially marilyn’s “diamonds are a girl’s best friend” number <3) !!

this really solidified for me how much i need to watch more 50s films
