Mothra is the fucking best!

Godzilla, Mothra and the giant insect beast Battra get in a number of fights which impact the fate of the world. Also, the cosmos, protectors of Mothra, are kidnapped for nefarious reasons. This is Godzilla's 19th film and the 4th film of the Heisei era, which is turning out to be my least favorite. The overall message is about environmental destruction which is a Godzilla specialty.

I like this one because the story is fairly interesting and the monsters look great. One of the keys to any Godzilla film is how watchable the B and sometimes C plots end up being. The exploration and environmental destruction stories work and the performances are fun. I love the miniatures for the battles and Battra is one of the better villain Kaijus of the Heisei era so far. I love the final epic battle between all three monsters.

Above average Godzilla.
