Soulless, the production and set design scream "WE ARE TRYING", but with a bad director, really poor cinematography, bad lighting, and awful, eye-hurting color grading, everything is washed out. The cast is trying hard, but they fall flat at every single moment. Ariana, clearly in a lead role and not the supporting one everybody is trying to sell us to get into the awards conversation, looks off and sickly thanks to the washed-out cinematography. Cythia tried her best, but her character ended up looking emotionless and narcoleptic throughout the entire film. I don't see what everybody sees in this.
