I saw this on stan and thought I’d rewatch. It’s honestly such a wonderful movie. A thought-provoking comedy/drama that can be enjoyed by everyone.
I feel like I would have given it a 5 star rating if it could have gone further with the darker aspects of Truman’s life - but then I guess it wouldn’t be PG friendly. For a family movie I thought it was brilliant.
The romance between Sylvia (Natascha McElhone) and Truman (Jim Carrey) was so short and sweet, I felt so much in their scenes together. Every shot of Sylvia looking up Truman on her tv just communicated so many feelings. I stannn. Such a lovely ending as well, just brilliant!
