Quite an interesting watch as a Carpenter completionist. It does the trick and is a fine little thrill-ride for a tv movie. If it had a bit more grit/gore and a Carpenter soundtrack-score, I think this would hold up better. It's still really cool seeing Carpenter try out all his Hitchcock moves. There's some very intriguing high-riser shots. It makes this film oddly feel like a Giallo or a De Palma joint without the gore and sex.
There's a surprising scene (for its time) including a small discussion on a woman's sexual preference. She admits to being a lesbian and then it's never brought up again, no big deal made. That's a big swing for a 70's tv flick.
Cool stuff if you want to see some deep Carpenter work.
