Just seen Requiem for a dream and while I did like it I found it an incredibly rough watch. Darren Aronofsky doesn’t hold back one bit when it comes to his vision and shows a very brutal look at how drug addiction can overtake someone’s life in an instant and Jared Leto and Jennifer Connolly’s performances sure do show you that in such a visceral and emotionally intense way, also Ellen Burstyn performance is also very good showing you the impact of what drug addiction can do to the mind. This is a movie that I’m probably only going to watch once and leave it at that because this movie isn’t for the faint hearted 😅
