me from three years ago was so right when she decided to watch this on gcse results day. it established what is now my one favourite traditions. results day, good or bad, must feature a little miss sunshine viewing.
today was a good results day. a level results day and after months of revising and stressing in a continuous loop, i got a b and i’m fucking ecstatic.
this whole film is so special to me, there’s a place in my heart that’s reserved solely for it. i find something new to love about it each time. there’s times and conversations that feel as though you’re there, you’re not watching it but involved in their antics and hearts-to-hearts. and that might sound dramatic, but it’s been a dramatic kind of day, a day of moments, that will be remembered with a smile in years to come. like if you went on a road trip with your family in an old, broken yellow van. if you danced on the stage of a kid’s beauty pageant to super freak.
also. olive’s red cowboy boots would make for a fucking sick tattoo and i am keeping that in mind.
