I’ll say it again. Marketing is NOT the job of the filmmaker.
If your perception of the movie was ruined because a commercial said it’s the scariest movie of all time and it’ll make you shit your pants and bleed from your eyes, that’s not on Oz Perkins. In fact it’s not on anyone but the studio and yourself. Stop allowing sensationalist advertising to influence your viewing experience and I promise you’ll enjoy new movies a lot more.
