this film was everything and more. the colours! the sets! the choreo! the music! emma! RYAN! like, forreal though, was this ever clever to make a statement within the world of the movie how art has changed while also physically showing what we miss about film specifically by paying such tribute to fred astaire and ginger rogers with the same format as golden hollywood movies. oh chazelle, you've done it again. whimsy and nostalgia at its finest
