THEY WENT THE WRONG WAY AROUND THE WORLD! If you want to deliver all the presents in one night you need to follow the sun EAST to WEST! It's such an easy thing to get right, but NO!
Oh, and the rest of the movie is fine. The action scenes are horribly over-edited, and the characters aren't particularly compelling, but all the weird North Pole world-building was fun (though the CG wasn't particularly stellar).
