This is an undeniably well-constructed thriller with smart writing and strong performances.
But this also really demonstrates the limitations of the Quiet Place franchise. The gimmick, which in the first film felt exciting and fresh, has at this point mostly run its course. And this film is held back from reaching its full potential by having to stick to the previously established rules of the franchise.
