An incredibly solid sequel to a classic horror comedy. The original is still a staple in my household, I’ve had to have seen it 20+ times in my life, so even with my love for Tim Burton, I will admit I was skeptical. Luckily, this banged.
Michael Keaton acts as if he never left, shining on the screen yet again as this incredibly vibrant and hilarious character. I loved seeing most of the original cast back, and I loved the new additions, specifically Jenna Ortega and Willem Dafoe.
The set designs are beautiful, the comedy works when it needs to, and Tim Burton cooked creating Bob, best character of all time, we love Bob.
There are issues, most notably Monica Bellucci’s character, to introduce her into the beginning as the main villain and toss her to the side making her basically useless to the whole movie felt off and pointless, but other than that I really enjoyed my time with the film.
