nah this is getting out of hand. how many more movies are they gonna keep making about me? (gotham needs me)
damn this shit was heat. electrifying from start to finish and delivers on all mandatory fronts. i won’t write too much because it’s a Lego Movie spin off ffs but still this was so wildly entertaining and i absolutely adored it.
i’m serious about the fact that this is one of the more realistic takes on Batman. underneath the satirical elements is some real emotional/intellectual issues Batman deals with and of course the emphasis on Bruce chilling in the bat cave alone was the cherry on the top. if it isn’t MOTP that captures this lonely nature of Batman the best, look no further than here.
on a not so serious and deep note this was absolute dynamite all round! the contemporary comedic style works perfectly and some of the jokes made ironically have some truth to them. the animation was gorgeous to look at and the VA performances are all perfect. Will Arnett live action adaptation is needed. the opening sequence is just fantastic and really paves the way for the route this movie takes and it’s one so enthralling and fun, guaranteeing a ridiculously good time.
“Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover”. you clearly have not seen The Lego Batman Movie. absolute peak!
