not quite sure what i expected from this, but what i got was certainly enjoyable. not the absolute best film to come out of 2022 but one of the better horror flicks of the year after feeling disappointed with Barbarian and bored to tears with Firestarter. i think there's a great concept to behold in it with an obvious metaphor for classism and taking something as simple as food for granted, and turned into something pretentious.
overall, great plot, i loved Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Finnes together in it, and while it might not necessarily be something that i come back to, it's still something i will recommend. although some of those snobbish upper class rich white assholes were so annoying
