after Sing (2016), The Secret Life of Pets (2016), The Grinch (2018), and The Super Mario Brothers Movie (2023), im convinced that Illumnation just doesn’t even WANT to make good movies

genuinely one of the most soulless films i have ever seen, predictable and boring, the plot is practically nonexistent and all over the place, the humor just boils down to “haha poop”, yes i know this is just supposed to be a silly film for children but that doesnt mean that the movie needs to be baseless and dull, films like Shrek 2 (2004) and Winnie the Pooh (2011) are examples of movies that came out during my childhood that are not only well made but appeal to both children and adults, films that have something to say, rather than appealing to a brainrotted generation.  and this movie did really really well, so you know there’s gonna be a 5th one.  heaven save us

Double Life is far too good for this movie, without that song and some of the jokes that actually made me chuckle, this would be a much lower rating
