did not live up to every expectation that i had, Deadpool tends to become more annoying with each movie even if the quality of the movie gets better, maybe it’s just because i find Ryan Reynolds annoying but i do not know, i came to this movie because Wolverine is my favorite mutant and third favorite superhero and it certainly delivers on that front.
seeing the original costume in a live action form finally was amazing, i loved the cameos and surprise appearances from heroes like Gambit or Wesley Snipes’ Blade, and there were quite a few moments that made me laugh pretty hard (Furiosa mentioned 🥳🥳🥳) the opening Bye Bye Bye sequence was pretty hilarious too but i had already predicted that there was going to be a joke about both Logan (2017) and Deadpool joining the MCU and i was right because it happens within the first minute.
i honestly feel like some of the jokes just start to get old, every single line has some type of joke and they fly by so fast that you can’t even process it before there’s another joke. Deadpool has turned into a character who used to occasionally break the fourth wall to making it his entire character, which gets old for me personally
the story feels kinda convoluted and sporadic, i genuinely could not tell you what the motives or overarching story was besides Logan and Deadpool bickering/fighting, evil bald woman, and “hey i know that guy, thats the human torch”, idk i guess when it comes to a Deadpool movie, the story comes last, which when you consider how the comics are, that tracks
it was still a fun and enjoyable experience, i had fun with it, but it wasn’t everything i was hoping for regrettably
