damn, alright then. Barbarian left a lot to be desired for me personally. i see the real care and effort put into it behind its directing and writing, but it just falls short for me. The Mother is certainly an interesting horror villain and one of the more unique villains ive seen in a bit, but just because a villain is good ≠ a good movie. so many abrupt cuts with its editing too lol. i feel like having the movie presented in the actual chronological order and not just being so all over the place would help it in the long run
the cast was decent too i suppose but it kind of feels like a waste of Bill Skarsgard lol, and i could not stand Justin Long’s character at all. i understand why people loved this so much, and im glad they do, but for me personally in terms of 2022 horror movies, i definitely prefer X and i will be seeing Pearl soon
plus X has Jenna Ortega and Mia Goth 🤷♀️
