I liked the first one more than most people, so I definitely was interested in seeing what they do with this one. The one thing I was afraid of was it basically being the same movie, and even though there are points where it's copy and pasted from the first movie, I think it does enough to put its own spin on it. The opening scene is phenomenal and easily the best part of the movie for me. Perfect way to open up this sequel. I did predict the ending pretty early in the movie, but the execution of it was still really solid. Naomi Scott was incredible in the lead role. Really intrigued to see what they do with the third one, because that ending was wild. Also it’s kinda scary how much Ray Nicholson looks like his dad. That smile is something else.
