A very flawed show with high highs and low lows, this one still manages to stick the landing. The sense of loyalty to brotherhood at the center of Band of Brothers is largely unfelt here, and something that could have been given more attention. With strong performances from Turner and Butler and some spectacular set pieces, anytime spent on characters other than those two that aren’t in a plane feel uninteresting, especially considering none of those storylines ever pay off in any way. However the great thing about series is that even mid-tier shows like this can be largely saved by a brilliant final episode, which is luckily the case here.
