SMILE 2 genuinely outshines the original and unlocks a new fear—of being mangled in a vehicular accident. Noami Scott delivers an iconic horror performances on par with that of Toni Collete’s HEREDIATRY. My two favorite scenes are both the opening and final scenes. I genuinely enjoyed the score prior to the drop of the title card and how manic Joel was. The final scene genuinely pushed the envelope for me — while it was predictable that Skye Riley would do what she does spreading the curse by a thousand fold; it was just THE WAY that final scene was shot. Director Parker Finn subverts the final scare by showcasing it from the perspective of the terrified concert goers (i.e the audience)— the cresendo of their horrified screams
