I was really excited for "Longlegs" but I came out of the theater sorta disappointed. The scariest film of the decade? It's not even that terrifying. Man, the reviews really did a number overhyping this one. Aesthetically, it was well-crafted but if you remove the striking imagery and atmosphere, I have to be honest that it didn't cover any new territory that we've already seen in "The Silence of the Lambs", Kiyoshi Kurosawa's "Cure" and other films from this genre. That Nicolas Cage performance is really something though.
