What could’ve been a hilariously exaggerated Christmas satire ends up falling flat and its biggest issue is honestly that it takes itself too seriously. It doesn’t accept itself for the outlandish concept that it is. Red One is entirely all over the place with failed emotional attempts and underwhelming acting. The visuals are also pretty disappointing for a big budget movie like this.
