The clear winner in this satanic panic double feature film night. (Wasn’t intended it just happened man) Really evokes discomfort in plenty of effective ways. The way some of these locations feel, the overall lighting, the tense moments of almost quietness. Feels so creepy! There are plenty of silly moments here too, but they didn’t really take me out of the overall vibe. Maybe not the scariest film ever made, but the beats this hits were mmmm. Maika Monroe really rocked it with how tense she was. All I’ll add to this is that Nic Cage should’ve sang more. Shockingly good vibrato!
