Coco is such a valid movie. Obviously one of Pixar's best; not the best, but it's up there. Coco is just such a beautiful story. A story about passion, family, and what's really important in life. Both by the way.
The core of this movie is really the story. I absolutely loved what they did with it. The world the writers managed to build was amazing. Everything to do with the dead, how they're remembered, how they get to go back to the real world; all of that was great. And the land of the dead looked simply incredible; the movie did honestly. Then there's Miguel. His whole family dynamic was so good. A ton of fun to watch, interesting to see how it all played out, and the plot twist was actually decent. Ernesto being a twist villain worked so well, and Hector being Miguel's actual family was a solid twist. Maybe a little obvious, but it still worked for me.
Then there's the ending. The perfect, beautiful ending. Everything about it is the most satisfying thing imaginable. Ernesto gets exposed as a fraud, Miguel makes it back home, and Coco remembers her father. That scene was so emotional. Seeing Miguel sing to her was sad enough, but when Coco joined in; I was moved to tears. Elite movie.
