I did not expect to enjoy this one so much. I'm used to seeing Ryan Gosling as this romantic, action, drama sort of guy so seeing him as a character that's so clumsy and so messy, every little detail he said or did would make me laugh. At points, I was afraid it would be too much messiness for the movie but Russell Crowe helped balance it out and it all worked perfect for the story.
The writing itself is great and I was worried the story would be dumb, which it kinda seems like it if you say it out loud. But Shane Black ACTUALLY pulled this one off. I know, I'm in shock too.
This movie is great and Ryan Gosling's scream could cure a thousand sick puppies.
