Halloween H20 has actually become a really good movie. Not only is it told in a very exciting way and is skilfully staged. The characters are credible written and played great.
Even LL Cool J's Gatekeeper, who dreams of becoming an author, is more complex than any character who has ever appeared in the Halloween universe before that movie.
Especially the character development of Laurie was really surprising. She is not portrayed as sympathetic as expected. She is primarily a worried mother and strict teacher who can not escape her grisly past.
The young actors are all today well-known, sympathetic faces. Josh Hartnett, Michelle Williams and Joseph-Gordon Levitt are great! Also the cameo of the icon Janet Leigh is great.
The film has a pleasant, well-dosed sense of humor. The violence is harsh and especially in connection with the intense tension nasty as shit.
The fight between Laurie and Michael in the house is one of my favorite moments of the whole franchise.
I really would not have thought it, but I give this 7th part of the series the same points as the original. Because it is deserved.
