You know what kills me? The romantic dinner scene. The bench scene outside the planetarium. The epilogue. Why do I subject myself to this pain?
Well it’s my birthday week and somebody gave me the Ultra HD Blu ray today as an early birthday gift, which meant another obligatory watch was in order.
At first I thought I was suffering from dementia and couldn’t remember scenes from one of my favorite movies of all time, but no, the Blu ray has scenes that aren’t in the digital streaming version. They’re all extremely minor and don’t really add anything to the film, but I appreciated that little surprise.
I also found out today Miles Teller and Emma Watson were originally supposed to play Mia and Sebastian. Can we just take a moment and be thankful we ended up with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone??? They are both absolutely perfect for their characters.
I could write a book about this movie, but I’ll save that for another watch. All that matters is this is in my top 3 of all time and it isn’t 3rd.
