לא לעיתים קרובות מקבלים התנצלות כנה מאדם שמודה שהוא "מכר את עצמו".
למרות שהעלילה העמוסה מפריעה ליוצר לשפוך מחדש את כישוריו הקריקטוריים, הוא מפצה חלקית על כל מה שנחסר ממנה בגישה טראשית-גורית כנה של אמן שמנסה להרכיב את עצמו מחדש, חתיכה אחר חתיכה מהארסנל האמנותי והמעוות שלו.
