Second time rewatching this since 2016. This would have been quite a different experience if not for that last half hour; don't get me wrong, it is beautiful, loud and colourful maybe at times excessively so but THAT LAST HALF HOUR! Boy oh boy, it just stitches everything together and elevates everything into a perfect crescendo, no dips just raw artistry, music and narrative forming this cohesive whole...I am just here wondering if I had been always been humanly capable of crying for 30 mins straight....! The two of them together are purely delightful and simultaneously heartbreaking to watch. The ending hits as hard as it had for me at 17, perhaps it has gotten more painful with all of those years in between! Ah! sweet catharsis that comes with a good ugly cry!
