Wow, coming back to this after so many years and it's... really fucking good. I really really did not expect to like it. A lot that's hard to watch, yes. But as a bisexual (even though they never even use the word), this whole movie is for me. 😳😳😳
So much here that plays differently now than when I was a teenager. Like I remember thinking it was so absurd that Banky was in love with Holden and now it's just so obvious to me in every scene. I also think the ending (Holden's "solution" and the responses from Banky and Alyssa) is perfect now and I hated it as a teenager.
And Joey Lauren Adams is fucking fantastic. The whole thing just needed more of Hooper.
