Just out of the theater initial thoughts. First starting with the main issue the actual story is messy. Just so many plots going on at once like any one of them would have made a good movie but all at once? Hella cluttered. Like they had a bunch of ideas for a Beetlejuice sequel and decided to just go with all of them at once.
Now with that out of the way this movie was a blast. The best Tim Burton movie in a long time. Visually stunning. The after life stuff is just fantastic. And what works really really works.
Keaton is great at 73 bringing all his Beetlejuice energy. Willem Defoe is great. Monica Bellucci has such a great introduction I wish we got more time with her character. The movie is also so funny.
TL;DR Very flawed but also a blast. Burton’s got his grove back.
