This film left me feeling deeply unsettled, with its eerie atmosphere and slow-burn tension that never let up. The isolation and paranoia that consumed the family were suffocating, pulling me into the unsettling world of early Puritan America, brought to life with authentic dialogue and stark visuals.
Beneath the surface, it explored the destructive power of fear and rigid beliefs. The family’s descent into madness showed how their devotion could tear them apart, while Thomasin’s dark transformation felt like an escape from the oppressive forces surrounding her. Haunting and thought-provoking, it stayed with me long after the credits rolled.
