An indescribable jazz film full of vibes and great music with a singular performance by Dexter Gordon. The first 20 minutes or so are hard because the film and Gordon are operating on a very specific frequency that reminded me of a less approachable Jarmusch, but then Tavernier and Gordon start queuing you in to what's going on, and from there on out I was hooked.
