Furiosa deepens and enriches Fury Road in ways I didn't quite expect. It's part character study, part revenge movie, part war epic. Some are given short shrift (Miller skips briskly over several key plot points), but like the hastily assembled cars of the wasteland, Furiosa keeps pummeling forward without hesitation. It's a hugely enjoyable movie, with some phenomenal set-pieces sprinkled throughout a chapter-like structure. It's a curious choice putting together an epic as a prequel to a movie that's basically one long chase sequence, but it works.
